TurboTax NOT will automatically pulling in the state and local taxes from my  W-2 into my itemized deductions

Why is TurboTax NOT will automatically pulling in the state and local taxes from my  W-2 into my itemized deductions.  Should I enter these myself since they weren't pulled?

TurboTax does consider the state and local taxes from your W-2 when determining if you should itemize or take the standard deduction, combined with other state and local taxes entered (such as state property taxes.)

You do not need to enter them again, though you may not see them displayed on the summary of your entries, they are being considered - up to the maximum of $10,000 allowed for state and local tax deductions.
