I contribute to a 457(b) through my employer, which counts for the credit. In my W-2, it's box code G, but TurboTax is not counting this for the Saver's credit. If I manually change the code to D (401k), then the credit is applying properly, which proves to me it's not some other factor disqualifying me, such as income.

Is the 457(b) a governmental 457(b)? Contributions to a nongovernmental 457(b) do not qualify for this credit. For a code-G contribution to be counted for this credit you must indicate to TurboTax in the questions that follow the entry of your W-2 that the employer is a state or local government and that the contribution was voluntary.

That was exactly what it was. I clicked the wrong answer on that initially. Couldn't find a way to bring those questions back when editing, but I reuploaded the W-2 and hit yes this time and it's showing correctly now. Thanks for the help!
