I am using turbo tax deluxe. The box where you enter amount in line# 1 of form 1098-T into the education deductions section is grayed out, ie. cannot enter the amount from line# 1 of form 1098-T.

Lastly, if you are filing with TurboTax online, let's do these steps:
If you were married on or before Dec 31 of the tax year and you are filing MFS, then you do not qualify for any education credits for yourself, or for any dependents you may be claiming.
