Cantina, yes, I did download this document this am and open3d it up and it's was the standard 2024 tax return document that was submitted...... It unfortunately did not contain all the additional documentation worksheets.

I'm doing all this on my Android phone.   I'm going to fire up my laptop this morning, clear the cache, use incognito mode and login to TT online to see if a different device/browser would allow me to find and download prior year returns that include all the additional documentation and worksheets. I'll let you know what I find out.

It may not be available to do in the app. Let me know if it works on your laptop. This should not be this hard! I know it can be done.

Cantina, logged into my laptop, cleared the cache, logged into TT Online and then navigated to the section entitled "Your Tax Return and Documents".  Note: At this point, "Tax Tools" does not appear in left hand navigation.  Clicked on "2025" and then chose "Add a State".  At this point, "Tax Tools" appears in left hand nav and I can navigate to "Print Center" under "Tax Tools" and select the 2025 document with all TT worksheets".

Now, when I return to the first screen and this time select "2024" the left nav option "Tax Tools" DOES NOT APPEAR (yellow box) and the button "Add a State" DOES NOT APPEAR (yellow box).  The only way I am able to get "Tax Tools" to appear is when I select "2025" and then click "Add A State".    I also tried clicking on "1" , "2" and "3" and none of these offered the option to print the 2024 return with supporting TT worksheets"

I tested also tested this again using Incognito Mode and clearing the cache....same result.

There is something preventing "Tax Tools" from appearing for previous years .  Are you sure TT allows for the retrieval and printing (to PDF) of PRIOR year returns and their supporting TT worksheets?

I had someone test this that has prior year returns in their account.

Since you have already filed, when you first log in, on the left it will say Tax home and Documents. If you choose Documents, it should give you a drop down to choose the tax year. You do not need to go in through add a state. That would only be if you hadn't filed yet.

In Tax Home, if you scroll down the page, you come to a spot that says Your tax returns & documents and can print from there.

Cantina, I just did as directed (see screenshot below) and I am not able to see/view/print my 2024 tax return with supporting TT worksheets.  And when I click on "1" in the screenshot, the 2024 tax return downloads (just the return, not the full return with supporting TT worksheets).  Also, Tax Tools continues to not appear in the left NAV.

Since this does not look doable (to me at least), would someone in TT be able to attach the 2024 and 2023 returns with supporting TT worksheets to the "Documents" section of 2024 and 2023 in order for me to be able to download/save?

When you click on Download PDF are you prompted with an option like it says below for number 5?

Steps for TurboTax Online

  1. Sign into the TurboTax website.
  2. Scroll down to the Your tax returns & documents section.
  3. Click on the Year you need.
  4. Select Download/print return (PDF).
  5. When prompted, choose the option to Include government and TurboTax worksheets to ensure all schedules are included.

I am also seeing a previous thread that suggests this:

For the online version, the trick seems to be:

 - start an "amended return" for the year you want.

 - go to print center

 - print it again, with worksheets included

Good morning again Cantina, no, when I click on click on Download PDF I am not prompted with an option like it says below for number 5.

I will give you your intriguing alternative idea a try later today. Maybe starting an amended previous year return will do the trick!

Cantina, that tip from a previous thread worked!  Thank you SO much!   YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!

If you read this reply, can you reply back to me one more time so that I can amend the title of this particular question to read something like this (so this answer can benefit others searching for this solution)?

"How to view/print current and previous returns with all govt and TT worksheets"

And until TT can fix how this is done (a TT user will not instictively know to select "amend" in order to view/print returns with all TT worksheets), I have documented the steps for future users:

To print (to PDF) returns with all TT worksheets AFTER filing:

Current Year

- Go to the section "Your Tax Returns and Documents" and select current year

- Do one of the following (depending on what you see) in order to get "Tax Tools" to appear in the left NAV:

    + Choose "Add a State"

         OR

    + Choose "Amend (change) return"

- On the left NAV "Tax Tools" should now appear.  Click that and then select "Print Center"

- Choose the forms you would like to view/print/download to PDF

Prior Year

- Go to the section "Your Tax Returns and Documents" and select the prior year

- Click "Amend (change) YYYY return"

- Click 'Start an Amendment Online"

- On the left NAV "Tax Tools" should now appear.  Click that and then select "Print Center"

- Choose the forms you would like to view/print/download to PDF

I don't know if there is a way to edit the title, but I am glad we got this figured out. It definitely shouldn't have been that difficult and I am reporting this so it can get fixed.
