I chose to submit the form by mail (the form is not submitted yet) and am in need of changing my spouse's name to insert a space in the first name. What can I do?

I filed the form using the online tool. At the final stage, I did not consent to finalize the filing when prompted to continue just in case I need to make changes before submission. However, when I signed back in I could no longer make changes. Fortunately, I chose to submit the form by mail. So the form is not submitted yet, and it seems, at least to me, that editing my spouse's name shouldn't be too complicated.

Could you please help me with the issue?

This is a workaround to re-opening your return to make the changes.

If you need to make changes to your return prior to filing your Income Tax Return, the only way to get back into the return is to follow the instructions below.  You are not really adding a state, you are just telling the program that you want to so that you can open the return and make the corrections you really need to make.

• Log in to your TurboTax Online Account 
• From the Overview page Click on My TurboTax 
• My Tax Timeline 
• In the Some things you can do area Select Add a state

 This will let you back into your Return to make the changes in other areas of your return.
