Printed out Federal return and the standard deduction is listed as 13950 and along the side of the form it states standard deduction in 12700. Which is correct?

Printed out Federal return and the standard deduction is listed as 13950 and along the side of the form it states standard deduction in 12700. Which is correct?

The side of the form only lists the basic standard deduction amounts.  However, there are additional amounts that are added to the standard deduction for taxpayers that are either blind and/or over 65.

You can see the calculation on page 25-26 of IRS Publication 501 if you wish (link below).  $13,950 would be the standard deduction for married filing jointly when one taxpayer was either blind or over 65.
