Hello,
Before CA adopts NEM 3.0 I am getting Solar panels installed in early 2023. I am on track to be grandfathered in for NEM 2.0. I understand for Solar installation there is 30% tax credit I will be eligible for in 2023. However, I am also considering replacing my pretty old HVAC system (~25 years) with new heat pump system. I am not sure if the heat pump system would also qualify for 30% tax credit in 2023 or is there a cap on total tax credit per year? I also have plans to install a separate heat pump for my swimming pool and trying to figure out if I should break them into three different project in multi-year or can I do all of them in 2023 and be eligible for tax credits without hitting any max cap, there maybe.
Not the right place but would still ask in case if someone is aware, does PG&E (northern CA) utility company have any rebates on the heat pumps for pool and/or heat pump for heating and cooling the house?
