Submit medical expense receipt

I E-filing my tax return with itemized medical expense. I am wondering if I need to submit my medical expense receipts to IRS by mail? Or I don’t need to submit medical receipts? If I don’t need to do that, how can IRS track right amount?

Submit medical expense receipt

No, you don't need to submit the receipts now - but you should keep them for your records.  If the IRS questions your amounts, then they will request the receipts for you to prove the deductions.  But, you don't preemptively send them now.
