Student Loan Interest Deduction for Refinanced Loan

Can you claim a student loan interest deduction for interest that was paid to the original lender via refinancing the loan with another lender? That is, will the original lender issue a 1098-E to me if I refinance with another lender (since the 2nd lender is paying the interest to the original lender)?
