stimulus credit

My husband and I just got divorced December 2021. I am doing his taxes as a single filer and now they are saying because of his income threshold he should have been eligible for the stimulus from March to May 2021. However, we were married at the time and our dual income would have prevented eligibility for the stimulus payment. I cannot seem to bypass this on Turbo Tax. Does this seem right?

It has nothing to with March to May.   It does not go by his income just until the time you got divorced.   Your filing status is determined by the last day of 2021.   If you were divorced before the end of 2021 then he is "Single" for all of 2021, and his 2021 income is treated accordingly.

If his 2021 income makes him eligible then he gets the recovery rebate credit.
