Mama did get a stimulus check for A grand child that I am claiming. TT keep wanting to give me a third stimulus check. How do I report this?

    If you are claiming them this year then you DO get it now.  It is really based on 2021.  And they don't have to pay theirs back.   The IRS just used 2020 returns to send the checks out fast.

    It doesn't matter who got the stimulus payment.   It belongs to whoever is claiming the dependent.   If you are claiming a dependent that YOU did not receive a stimulus payment for, you still get the credit - even if someone received the check.   Tell TurboTax the exact amount YOU received when asked; do not include amounts sent to Mama, unless Mama is on your return.   TurboTax is not going to give you the credit unless you qualify.
