Stimulous payment

My mother passed away in March 2020 and I am using Turbotax to do her 2020 taxes.  Why does she still qualify to receive a stimulus check?  The Turbotax includes it in the amount refundable and I don't believe she is entitled to it.  What do I do?

Yes, your mother should get the Recovery Rebate Credit. Per the IRS, a payment won’t be issued to someone who has died before January 1, 2020. However, eligible individuals who died in 2020, should claim the Recovery Rebate Credit their 2020 tax return.
