stimulas check

I filed my taxes with turbo tax. Paid federal amount with AMEX to get delta points. Gave bank account info for state return to receive my refund. The question is will the IRS see my bank info in the state return to deposit my stimulus check or do I have to wait and get it in the mail????

It is doubtful that the IRS will have your bank information if it was only entered on the state return.

Filers: Get Your Payment

Use the "Get My Payment" application (coming mid-April) to:

  • Check your payment status
  • Confirm your payment type: direct deposit or check
  • Enter your bank account information for direct deposit if we don't have  your direct deposit information and we haven't sent your payment yet

Get My Payment (coming mid-April)

Update your information

Direct deposit: Use the Get My Payment application (coming mid-April) to let us know your bank account information if we don't have your direct deposit information and we haven't sent your payment.

Check payment: If you moved since you last filed, let us know your new mailing address.

Please view this IRS link and use the Get Your Payment application, available mid-April, to check the status of your stimulus payment and update your direct deposit information.
