My refund amount went down after I entered my wife's and my Roth contributions for 2019. Does anyone know why?

it's possible you made excess Roth contributions. see if there is schedule 2 in your return. the penalty, if any, would appear on line 6 of part II

Roth IRA

Yeah, but only $88 and $46 respectively. The refund went down almost $1000.
