We purchased our home in 2021 which came with an existing solar system. We pay monthly installments to a solar company. I just discovered this credit, am I able to claim the cost of the system or the amount we pay annually?

No, unfortunately, you can't claim the credit if you bought, but didn’t install the solar system.
