If your income is reported on a W-2 form, then you cannot deduct your travel and other business expenses on your federal tax return (although it may be deductible on your State return) under the new tax laws. So you would simply enter your W-2 form like you normally would.
If your income is reported on a 1099-MISC form, then you would enter your income as self-employment income and you would be able to deduct your business expenses on your tax return. You would look for the "Self-Employment" tab in the "Income and Expenses" section in TurboTax to do so.
