The IRS requires TurboTax and other tax software providers to get prior consent before sharing tax information with any of our partners.

Tax informative is shared when you select some services such as a refund advance loan, paying your tax fees with your federal refund or have your money deposited in a Credit Karma Money account.

Limiting your offers to only what you need means TurboTax will only share info when absolutely necessary to file your return the way you want.

This form is (1) designed to mislead and (2) placed right at the start of the tax completion process, which wastes time and goodwill.  I have just wasted 30 minutes trying to understand it.

You do NOT need to give Intuit permission to try and sell you other products - which you may not need - in order to complete your tax return. 

If, like me, you don't want your tax data used for marketing, enter your name, today's date, click the "DECLINE" button.  Unfortunately you will still need to decline Turbotax's repeated attempts to try and get you to pay more money again and again throughout the process.
