Hello!
The IRS will figure out the percentage of the child tax credit it can allocate to your income and to your spouse's income. You can allocate all of the dependents to your wife to get the highest allocation assigned to her. Here is a link with instructions for Form 8379: https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i8379. I would view the section under Line 17.
Also, see this link for a previous community post on this topic: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-credits-deductions/discussion/if-i-claim-injured-spouse-will-i....
For the earned income credit, the IRS will allocate it bases on each spouse's income. You can see this on Line 17 of the 8379 instructions as well.
Hope that helps!
I. That note. Can I use turbo tax for all this or should I use like H And R Block or something since I have to allocate dependants and file injured spouse
You can use TurboTax for this! See this link here for instructions: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/how-do-i-file-form-8379-injured-spouse-allocation/0...
