Is anyone familiar with the Adoption Credit Carryforward? The amount showed by TurboTax does not seem to be correct. It seems very inflated (6.5 times higher).

I expected to carry forward only $45,000, but Turbo Tax indicates it will be $297,000!

If the amount is incorrect, you can enter the correct amount in the "Adoption Credit Carry Forwards" screen in the Adoption section of TurboTax. You can look on your form 8839 from the previous year to determine what the correct carry forward amount is for the current year.
