Confusing healthcare coverage questions

My husband and I are both covered thru my employer sponsored healthcare. I have a FSA but no MSA or HSA. What are the appropriate answers to turbo tax to tell it YES! we both have been covered for the entirety of 2023?

Oh, if only "yes" were an option

Family

Self

None

Those are my options

For some reason Turbo Tax thinks I don't have health insurance and I have failed to be an eligible individual.

Did “Family “ not work?  Unless you are in a state like California which penalizes the uninsured the answer to the question won’t affect your return.

Confusing healthcare coverage questions

If I add none for my husband and family for me, it wants me to add 1095-A data

I don't have 1095-A data because we were both covered under my work health insurance

I do have a 1095-c but they don't want that.

The W-2 does have data in box 12-b for health insurance.

Why does turbo tax presume I don't have health insurance? And then impossible to move past the circle of anxiety?

Why not make it easy and say "do you have health insurance?"

And I MUST add the 1095-A because clearly Turbo Tax says I need it and will tell the IRS I n ed it.

The program would only direct you to the 1095-A if you answered that you had coverage through the marketplace. Go back to the Health section and be sure that you say everyone had health coverage for the entire year. Stay away from Marketplace coverage.

Confusing healthcare coverage questions

Oh God love ya.

If only that were the question and I could answer it

It presumes I do not have coverage.

The questions are about HSA (nope, have FSA)

Then talk about HDHC...my husband is none (he's on mine) I am family, and after all the deductions are entered BOOM

Did you receive a 1095-A?  No?  Well you must enter it before you file.  WTH?

Confusing healthcare coverage questions

Do either one of you have an HSA? If so, who has the HSA and who is listed first on your return? @sandiwong

@PaulaM Original post reads no HSA. Both covered by employer.

Understood @Bsch4477  But her response of 'Family, Self and None' suggest she may be in the HSA entry points.
