Hi! I had a baby in 2020 and claimed him on my taxes BUT when getting the child tax stimulus he wasn't included. How can I add him or what can I do to change this

You can use the IRS portal: Child Tax Credit Update Portal to first check your eligibility. This will let you know if the IRS has updated its records to recognize that you have a child who qualifies for the advance payments. It will also let you know if there is another reason you are not receiving the advance payments. In late summer this same portal will be updated to allow you to change the information about your qualifying child, marital status, etc. At this point you can add your child if the IRS has not done so yet. Congratulations on the new baby!
