I appreciate your answer and am aware of the 7.5% threshold although my question was specific to health care premiums and whether they are fully or partially deductible. I’ve since learned that they are “qualified” AND fully (rather than partially) deductible beyond the threshold. Thanks!
You may deduct only the amount of your total medical expenses that exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. Health insurance paid out of your pocket is deductible.

Yes, health premiums paid are considered medical expenses and may be clamed in full as ling as they are not reimbursed (as are most medical expenses).
Long term care policies have a yearly limit based on the age of the taxpayer.
