Qualified Education Deduction

In the process of e-filing my federal and state returns. I have contributed to a qualified education scholarship in previous years but am now using only the carryover credits from my state for my state return only.  Turbo Tax keeps requiring that I enter the amount I claimed for my federal income tax deduction this year, but I have not claimed any amount as I am using only carryover credits for my state. Is this a system glitch or am I misunderstanding how to enter the information? I cannot seem to proceed to filing without this being addressed.

Have you tried entering $0 for the amount you claimed in 2021?
