Where do I enter property taxes I paid at closing?

I bought my home on 6/27/16. On my closing disclosure form under the other costs section, I have prepaid interest from 6/27/16 to 7/1/16 of $172.36. I also have prepaid property taxes of $2,200. These are not calculated on my 1098 I received from my lender. Where can I input this information?

Property taxes and prepaid interest are entered in Deductions & Credits category, Your Home section. The amounts do not have to be listed on 1098, you can deduct them as long as they were paid.

Prepaid interest:

  1. Federal Taxes
  2. Deductions & Credits
  3. Your Home
  4. Mortgage Interest - follow the prompts, when lender's name is entered, be sure to select an option that applies to you.. such as I bought or improved my main home with this loan in 2016

Real Estate Tax:

  1. Federal Taxes
  2. Deductions & Credits
  3. Your Home
  4. Property Taxes
