Problem with Deductions

In the summary of deductions and credits, TurboTax shows I'm taking the Standard Deduction of $27,800 (married, filing jointly, over 65) and Charitable Cash Contributions of $600. It also shows "State and local taxes greater than $10,000" of (-$4,729). I have no idea where that last figure comes from, since the state and local taxes I entered are less than $10,000. Total deductions are $27,800. What happened to the $600 charitable donation (allowed even if one doesn't itemize)? Did it somehow get swallowed by the (-$4,729)?

The $600 cash contribution in added to your Standard Deduction.   Form 1040 Line 12a $27,800.  Form 1040 Line 12b $600.  Total on Line 12c $28,400.
