I mistakenly put my child as a dependent.  When I realized it I amended my tax return. Problem is IRS already sent me the 1400 dollars for my kid. When I amended form they charged me 500 dollars but not the 1400. So can I keep that money?

Currently, the IRS states that they are not expecting repayments. The $500 was the child tax credit for a child over 16.

But then they sent me 1400 dollars for covid-19 relief for my dependent. But I amended my tax form to remove dependent.

As AmyC said, they are asking for the Credit for Other Dependents  back.
