On Site Child Care (Yes or No)

I worked at a Daycare center and my daughter went there. Do I put that my company offered on site child care or no? I don't think I should because they didn't pay for my child to go to their school and I am not sure if I should write yes since I worked at the daycare and my daughter went there.

On Site Child Care (Yes or No)

If you paid  for your daughter to attend the daycare center, then it was not provided by your employer, so you should answer no.

But check box 10 of your W-2 to see if any child care benefits were provided through a  flexible spending arrangement with your employer. If those payments were made through such an arrangement, you didn't pay income tax on them, and you would have to reduce your amount paid by the pre-tax amounts.

On Site Child Care (Yes or No)

Then Shouldn't Turbotax ask better question like "Did employer pay for on-site child care?" And "Did employer sponsored Flexible spend account? "

And after your "but" in reply, answer is not clear again, should I chose Yes or Not to this question "Did [employer] provide on-site child care?"   I paid money myself though ASI flexible spending account.

On Site Child Care (Yes or No)

The answer given above is 4 or more years old, so the screens may be different now.    TurboTax is asking about the employer providing onsite care  (#2 below) - Did your employer cover the costs of your child's care?   If so, the value of those services must be included.

Dependent care benefits - Pub 503.    Dependent care benefits include

1. Amounts your employer paid directly to either you or your care provider for the care of your qualifying person while you work,

2. The fair market value of care in a daycare facility provided or sponsored by your employer, and

3. Pre-tax contributions you made under a dependent care flexible spending arrangement (FSA)
