Nephew SS#

I keep getting a code for my nephew SS#, the code is R000-504-02.  I checked his card that the correct number.  Should I go back to the start of my taxes to put his middle name on it.

The match is based on the first four letters of the last name and last four digits of the social security number.  Does he have two last names?

They match the first four letters of the last name, the entire SS# and the birth year.  If any of these do not match with the SS records they have on file the return will reject.
