Unless your 24 year old son earned less than $4400 in 2022, he cannot be claimed as anyone else's dependent. He is too old to be claimed as a qualified child, so that leaves qualified relative----if he had more than $4400 of income he cannot be a qualified relative dependent.
WHO CAN I CLAIM AS A DEPENDENT?
You can claim a child, relative, friend, or fiancé (etc.) as a dependent on your 2022 taxes as long as they meet the following requirements:
Qualifying child
Qualifying relative
