Hi TurboTax Community, 

My question is about any Ukraine war refugee 2022 tax deductions. The internet is full of info, but none of it is useful to me in this simple search question.

We have a Ukraine war refugee living in our home since March 2022. She has no Social Security Number and did not work in the US in 2022. We pay 100% of her living and medical expenses. 

Can we claim her as a household dependent Ukraine war refugee tax deduction for our 2022 tax filing? If so, please link the IRC/IRS reg in your reply.

No

there is no provisions for claiming a deduction for housing a Ukraine war refugee. 

I have seen assistance for a refugee in other areas, but not for a tax credit. 

They would not qualify as a dependent.
