Moving expenses

Can you deduct moving expenses when changing jobs?  Or is it  just for relocating for a new position with the same company?

    Moving expenses are not deductible on a federal tax return due to the tax code changes in effect for tax years 2018 thru 2025.  The exception is for active military on Permanent Change of Station orders.

    You can only deduct moving expenses when you are in the military and had a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move.
