Filing Tax Year 2018 federal taxes, but IRS site seems to indicate that moving expenses aren't deductible unless you are military. Sounds like it might have changed with the 2018 tax reform. When I went through the guide in TurboTax, it said we met the requirements. We are 680 miles from our old address to her new workplace. Old house to old workplace was ~25 miles. My wife will be employed full time at her new job, so it would appear she meets the 39 week test. And, this isn't a move related to military.
I am also changing jobs, but it will be about 7 months after we moved (and in CY2019).
These are expenses that we paid and were not paid for by any company.
Thanks for any help and clarity!

Unfortunately, no, the moving deduction is gone for 2018 unless you were in the military.
