I cannot enter medical/dental expenses for 2019.

Make sure you haven't checked that you want to take the standard deduction.

1) Desktop software?..or an Online tax account?

2) If desktop software....Windows or MAC?

3) IF desktop Windows....do you have a field to enter a value, but typing in doesn't do anything? (maybe shows a "$0" and not just a "$" at the start of the field)
