Medical Expenses (in excess of 7.5% of AGI)

NO, you let the Software determine the 7.5%.

you can either put in:

1)  just what you paid out-of-pocket,

2) ...or everything as a total bill, but indicate on a followup page what your insurance paid for, plus what you ended up getting reimbursed for  (thus ending up with an out-of-pocket value) .

Medical Expenses (in excess of 7.5% of AGI)

Enter the total amount of your medical expenses.  The program will calculate the deduction based on your AGI (which could change as you continue to prepare your return).
