J1 visa switching to F1, what's my residence status?

Hi, I first entered US using B2 - tourism visa on 2014/08 and stayed for a week. In 2015-2016, I studied in US using J1 - exchange student visa and stayed more than 120 days for each year. In 2017 - 2019, I used F1 visa to continue my graduate study. Currently, I am working in US on OPT. So, when should my 5-year residence exemption end? Does it count from 2014 (my first entry) or 2015 (my J1 visa start year)?

Thanks!!

Your exempt years or part years, are 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.  Starting January, 1, 2020 you will need to count US days of presence.

So you are still a nonresident for 2019 and cannot file a return in TurboTax.

TurboTax does not support nonresident returns.

However we have a partnership with Sprintax offering a nonresident tax filing solution to our TurboTax customers.

If you remain in the US in 2020, you will need to file a US resident return for tax year 2020. You can use TurboTax next year.
