Is there a caregiver deduction?

Spouse performed as caregiver to dying mother.  Spouse had no "formal" documentation or designation as caregiver.  Is train/auto travel as caregiver to dying mother deductible, how is it claimed in Turbo Tax?  Mother is not claimed as a dependent, married filing jointly.  Cost of train ticket, auto milage.

Since the mother was not a dependent and I assume you did not provide more than half of her support, there is no deduction.
