Is owning a mobile home considered homeownership?

Yes, in general owning a mobile home qualifies as home ownership. Are you asking this as a federal or state question?

If you are asking based on the first set of questions in TurboTax where it is getting to know you, you can select yes to home ownership, although this section does not affect your taxes, it just customizes the interview to better meet your needs.

For federal, you would not be able to claim any type of deduction for the lot rent or the taxes they include in the lot rent.  So this would not be part of any itemized deductions, unless you would be claiming interest on your mortgage for  your mobile  home.

State rules vary and many states to allow a rebate or credit for your situation, but not all do.  Which state do you live in, if you are asking for a state question?
