FL does not have an income tax.
Your car registration fee is deductible on your federal tax return if it’s a yearly fee based on the value of your vehicle, and only if you itemize your deductions. You can’t deduct the total amount you paid, only the portion of the fee that’s based on your vehicle’s value.
Florida's vehicle registration fees are usually based on weight and not the value of the vehicle. For that reason, they are not deductible for Federal individual income tax purposes.
