Hi, I understand paying for health insurance for a domestic partner is imputed income and cannot be claimed on taxes. So my question is
If I am paying for their health, dental, and eye insurance under "domestic partner", can they claim those insurance premiums on THEIR taxes?
Thanks for any help or advice!

No, sadly, they cannot claim it on their federal tax return because you made the payments. You cannot claim it as a medical expense because it is not for your dependent.
Thank you for the response. It seems to me that they should be able to at least claim their premiums as if they were paying it out to an insurance company. After all, he is contributing to the payment of those premiums whether it's coming out of my paycheck or his paycheck. I guess you just get to enjoy the convenience of it or get married...
