If my refund was taken for back child support. Does it count as income this year?

If my refund was taken for back child support. Does it count as income this year?

If it is your federal refund no you do not need to include it as income

If it is your state refund, you need to include it as income if you itemized your return that year. You can walk thru the interview screen and it will help you calculate it.
