If I paid property tax directly to the city (NYC), as opposed to through an escrow account with my mortgage provider, where can I find this?

There is a separate section to enter property taxes that were not paid through escrow and your mortgage company.  Use the following steps to go to that section:

• On the top row of the TurboTax screen, click on Search  
• This opens a box where you can type in “property tax” 
• The search results will give you an option to “Jump to property tax”
• Click on the blue “Jump to property tax” link and enter your information

You can also get to that section by going to Federal > Deductions & Credits > Your Home > Property Taxes.
