There is a separate section to enter property taxes that were not paid through escrow and your mortgage company. Use the following steps to go to that section:
- On the top row of the TurboTax screen, click on Search
- This opens a box where you can type in “property tax”
- The search results will give you an option to “Jump to property tax”
- Click on the blue “Jump to property tax” link and enter your information
You can also get to that section by going to Federal > Deductions & Credits > Your Home > Property Taxes.
