If I am clergy, is there a way to claim the EIC based on by base pay not including my housing allowance or is it for the total?

If I am clergy, is there a way to claim the EIC based on by base pay not including my housing allowance or is it for the total?

Because the housing allowance is subject to social security and medicare taxes, it is included in earned income for the EITC. There are exceptions if you have an approved form 4361 because you find the tax against your beliefs.
