I was told to not check the box for property tax refund if I didn't have forms ready yet. I have filed state taxes; how can I reopen the process to seek this refund?

Where and how on the Turbotax site can I return to the process of filing for a state property tax refund? I have already filed my federal and state forms.

We'd love to help you complete your tax return, but need more information. Can you please clarify your question?

Which state are you filing?

Minnesota.

Primarily, my issue is that the Turbotax page is unhelpful in showing me how to get back to a place where I can work on the property tax refund.

The M1PR will have to be mailed in and not e-filed.

You can return to the M1PR even if you have already filed your state return.  If you'd like to Print Form M1PR:

Click on the add state return,  you will not be adding a state, but this will open the return up for review.

Continue to the Status of your state returns screen, then revisit the Minnesota state return

Get to the Let's Check for Minnesota Nontaxable Income screen, then select Yes; I want to see if I qualify for these tax benefits.

Click continue until you arrive at the Other Forms You May Need screen. Confirm the Property Tax Refund (Form M1PR) box is checked, then continue.

Provide any information to generate the form.

Click Print Form M1PR. This will generate a finalized version of the form, and you'll mail it to the address provided on the screen.
