I was compensated for miles I drove but not for upkeep expenses like tires and oil changes. How do I file this?

If you are an employee receiving a W-2 for your wages, employee business expenses are not deductible on a federal tax return due to the tax code changes for tax year 2018 thru 2025.  Except for Armed Forces reservists, qualified performing artists, fee-basis state or local government officials, and employees with impairment-related work expenses.
