I was affected by a natural disaster but my state isnt listed, How do I get the tax credit for this disaster?

My home was damaged by a tornado and during that time I stayed in Georgia, Unfortunately, Georgia is not listed under natural disaster. This tornado destroyed the whole city and the city was without lights for weeks. How do I claim this disaster on my taxes?

If the tornado was not listed as a disaster zone, you cannot claim this as a loss on your taxes. In order to claim a disaster loss, you must be in one of the natural disaster zones.
