I’m a carpenter. Self employed. Received a 1099 for the only employer I have. Is mileage to and from the work site deductible?

No, mileage from home to your principle place of work (current jobsite) is not deductible. If you travel from an office to jobsite or to multiple jobsites throughout the day, you can deduct those miles.
