I have two 1098s since my mortgage was purchased by another lender. The second 1098 doesn't have a value in box 2 how do I continue?

I would contact the lender on the second Form 1098 and confirm that this information is accurate.

I have contacted that lender, but since they did not have possession of my account until the middle of the year they do not have a number in box 2. Should I put the ending principal from lender 1 in the box or will this imply that I had taken out a second loan?
