I have 2,1098 forms for the same property i.e. i refi my loan. do i enter RE taxes paid on both 1098s or just one?

I have 2,1098 forms for the same property i.e. i refi my loan. do i enter RE taxes paid on both 1098s or just one?

If the amount shown for real estate taxes is the same on both forms and it represents the total amount that was paid for the year, then enter it only with one Form 1098 (it does not matter which one).  If you enter it with both forms it will be added together and essentially claimed twice.
