I had a house fire in 2022 - are my non reimbursed expenses tax deductible?

we had a house fire and the insurance company only covered part of my expenses.  can the non reimbursed costs be tax deductible?

Sorry, no.  Casualty and theft losses are not deductible on a federal tax return unless they occurred in a federally declared disaster area.
